The only compulsory fog light is the rear one, and it must be used by day and by night when weather conditions are especially bad, such as VERY heavy rain, dense fog, heavy snowfall or clouds of dust or thick smoke. Front fog lights are optional. If our vehicle has them, it is correct to switch them on in weather that reduces visibility (heavy rain, fog, snowfall or clouds of smoke or dust). If it does not have them, we must use dipped headlights.
