The driver of any animal-drawn vehicle, special vehicle with a maximum authorised mass of no more than 3,500 kg, cycle, moped, cyclist support vehicle or vehicle for people with reduced mobility must, if there is no road or part of the road specially intended for them, use the hard shoulder on their right, if it is passable and wide enough for them. If it is not, they will use only the part of the carriageway that is strictly necessary.
