Article 16 of the General Traffic Regulations requires loading and unloading to be done off the road. If it is unavoidable to do it on the road, you must follow the rules on stopping and parking and the local council's times. It is prohibited to put the goods down on the carriageway, and using the side of the vehicle nearest the edge of the carriageway is required only where possible.
