Explanation
When parking a car on an uphill slope you must leave it in first gear, and on a downhill slope in reverse (Article 92.3.c of the General Traffic Regulations). Chocking a wheel or resting one against the kerb is only required for vehicles over 3,500 kg, buses and vehicle combinations.
