When overtaking cyclists, it is very important to leave enough safe side clearance at all times. This is especially important when driving large vehicles (because of the gusts of air we can create). When overtaking bicycles, you must move partly or fully into the next lane of the carriageway, unless there are two lanes in our direction, in which case we must move completely into the next lane, provided the conditions for overtaking are met. In any case, the side clearance must not be less than 1.50 metres. It is best not to sound the horn near cyclists, as they could be startled and lose their balance.
