The sign warns about the only directions permitted for each lane at the next interchange, so that drivers know which lane to move into to take the exit or to continue on the same road. Above the arrows showing the lanes that stay on the road, there is a panel with the name of the road. It is used in exceptional situations, such as when the solid lane-separation line does not indicate divergence from the lanes on the left, or at junctions or forks between motorways/dual carriageways with heavy traffic in both lanes.
