According to Article 36.1 of the General Traffic Regulations (RGC), as worded by RD 518/2026, drivers of special vehicles with a maximum authorised mass of no more than 3,500 kg (such as this 3,000 kg tractor), of cycles and of mopeds must, if there is no road or part of a road specially set aside for them, use the hard shoulder on their right if it is driveable and wide enough; if not, the part of the carriageway that is strictly necessary.
