Under Article 42 of the General Traffic Regulations, when a temporary additional lane is opened, both hard shoulders are used to create two lanes in one direction. A motorcycle may use either the hard shoulder or the additional lane, at a maximum of 80 km/h and a minimum of 60 km/h, with the dipped headlights on by day and by night.
