Correct answer

  • ASí, fuera de poblado y si no hay peligro de deslumbramiento.Yes, outside built-up areas and if there is no danger of dazzling.
Explanation

We could use main beam as long as we do not dazzle other road users and are not in a built-up area. The problem is that in dense fog we may not be able to see other road users and may end up dazzling them, or even dazzling ourselves, because fog is made of tiny drops in the air and the light beam can bounce off them. In heavy rain something similar happens: the light usually reflects off the road markings and can be annoying. The best thing is to switch on dipped headlights or the appropriate fog light.
