Explanation
You may not drive a car on the hard shoulder to avoid a queue. Since RD 518/2026, only motorcycles may use the right-hand hard shoulder on stretches that are authorised and signposted, when traffic is stopped by congestion, at a maximum of 30 km/h and in single file (Article 36.3 of the RGC).
